Today my class went on a field trip to the chao pria river. This is a list of what we did.

  1. We learned what to do when there is a man [or woman] overboard. First you shout ‘man over board!!!’ to the caption. Then you point a the person that fell off the boat. Then everyone gathers in the middle and blows their whistles.
  2. We searched through a water hyacinth to find invertebrates. My group got a few bugs, a fish and a shrimp.
  3. Next we hung around on the boat and ate snack till we got to the next stop. Then we ate lunch and we drew what sort of island we would get with 2500 baht.
  4. We went to a garden and played a game called ‘oh deer’.[instructions below]
  5. We got back on the boat to go back to land.
  6. We played a game called bird beak buffet.[instructions below]
  7. Next, we did something where we were a thing in or on the river. We had to sing words about what we are all together. I was a sand dredger. It was so noisy.
  8. At the end of the day, we got on the bus and went back to isb.
